Chaitra or Vasant Navratri puja is performed during the month of March April. It is dedicated to 9 forms of Goddess Durga. Chaitra Navratri is a propitious time for performing some Kamya pujas (pujas with a specific wish in mind) and regular spiritual practice. Kamya pujas are done to obtain remedies for the particular problems that the people are facing in life. Here are some remedies that accrue benefits.

1. Performing Aarti with clove camphor all the nine days of Navratri, can catapult your economic position overnight. It spreads positive energy around the house.

2. All the nine days, vermillion offering must be made so that it expands your wealth. You can worship her with vermillion as per your zodiac sign. It creates prosperity.

3. An offering of rice pudding to Maha Laxmi on Friday during Navratri, will usher in prosperity and preserve it for your entire lifetime.

4. Offer five hibiscus flowers during worship to the Goddess and keeping them in your purse will always protect your finances. Red coloured flowers are Mother Goddess' favourite flowers. Offering them with Chuneri you can be assured that prosperity will follow. You can also keep them in your almirah or cash box wherever you keep your valuables and money. Havan is of paramount importance during the nine day Navratri Puja.

5. If you perform a Havan with Mango wood on Navami tithi, not missing even one ritual, the smoke that emanates from the burnt Mango wood on this propitious day, will drive away negative spirits and usher in prosperity.

6. Have few cowries in your house always. It is symbolic of wealth. Cowri should actually be stored in the cabinet of your Puja Mandir. When you perform the Kalash Sthapana during Navratri, pick 7 cowries and keep them at the back side of the idol of Goddess. Apply vermillion on them.

7. On the day when Navratri concludes, remove the cowries from where you had placed them behind the idol, tie them in a yellow cloth. Place them where you keep your valuables. 11. On the Ghatasthapana day, you must install the Kalasha in the north east corner only. This increases prosperity in the house.

12. During Navratri, light the Akhand Diya for Goddess in the South East angle. Vastu defect is automatically rectified, family members will be cured of sicknesses and enemies will be subdued and hence peace and prosperity will be attained.

13. Throughout the nine-day period, draw the feet of Lakshmi from the main gate of the house towards the Puja room. Wealth increases manifold due to this.

14. After Navratri concludes, worship a girl child at home. Feed the girls with devotion and offer dakshina to them within your budget. This removes all those Vaastu defects that are hindering your prosperity and peace.
