A person who had utmost faith in His Guru, walked over the waters of the river effortlessly just by uttering his Guru's name. The Guru, seeing his disciple's extraordinary feat, decided to try it out himself. Wondering about the power of his name which he himself was so far not aware of, he marvelled at his greatness. Hence in order to test it himself, he set his feet in the water telling 'I, I.....'
The moment he did, he sunk deep into the water and got drowned.
Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa illustrated the above story to throw light on the fact that egotism undoubtedly would spell doom to a person.
