Behind The Extra Marital Affairs

A positive view on extra marital affairs came upon my mind, when I read the autobiographical novel Ancient Promises by Jayashree Mishra. There are many people like the protagonist Janaki who are forced into a marriage. They must have pushed out of a true love affair in the name of religion or other social status symbols. When they cannot evade their pure love from the minds and become lucky enough to reunite with their ex lovers, they may exploit the chance due to human weaknesses.
In India an arranged marriage signifies the marriage between two families. At many times the prospectives couple find it very difficult to adjust with the norms and culture of the other one's family. The situations becomes worse as they do not receive due support from their partners. They may find an outsource to cry out their dilemmas, who may better understand the true feelings. Who can blame the person, if he/she develops an extra marital affair with the new anchor?
The extra marital affairs after a love marriage often makes the people more curious. The people who get into a love marriage often laments that, they had only seen the good side of their partner prior to marriage. The over possessiveness and jealousy often compel them to turn their back against their chosen marriage and to seek a less complex marital life.
There is a trend in India to get the girls married soon after they completes their 18th birthday. The normally immature girls may find their true caliber and identity as they catch up in age. They may find their partners as restrictives as a new exciting world opens before them. It is often natural that they find a partner in this new world, who can be compatible with their feelings.
The modern lifestyle demands the partners to spend a lot of time for the career development. During this busy process many couple may not get time to see each other for days and even for years. They will loose the companionship as the time wears off. As time progresses, they may find an ideal companion at their workplace and the sparks of extra marital affair begin to float there.
A major cause for the extra marital affair is nothing other than the loss of physical relationship between the couples. Many couple forget the fact that a good sexual life is essential for a healthy marital relationship. The continuous withdrawal from the sexual acts, prompts the other partner to seek the physical satisfaction from another source, which in turn leads to extra marital affair.
There is no doubt that extra marital relationships bring agony and tension to three people's lives. It can be avoided if the initial couple learn to love each other. On the other hand it is better to keep your composure and never to blame the partner who cheated you.
After word: This article is not meant to break up any healthy marital relationship. This is a true and sincere account of the real life stories happened in many extra marital relationships. If there is true expression of love in your relationship, it is never meant to be broken.
