One in five divorcees think they would never recover from their split. They feel that divorce is the worst thing that they had experienced. Most people also took a year and a half to deal with the agony of divorce.
It takes 18 months to get over divorce. However, couples are often separated for a long time before this. So it could take years for the dust to settle after a split.
The trauma site www.fifties.com conducted this poll. They conducted the survey among 4,000 people.
