Warning Signs Of A Depressing Relationship
There are always a few ups and downs in a relationship. Keeping a relationship alive and healthy is the responsibility of both the partners. They both need to work towards that goal.
This is not easy for anyone, as a relationship includes two very different individuals who have different likes and dislikes. A relationship should keep you happy. At the end of the day, you should be at peace that you are blessed with this person in your life.

There are many reasons that may make your relationship a depressing one. Any sadness or downswings in your relationship is referred to as depression in relationship. Symptoms that do not allow you to go through your normal routine need to be considered as signs of relationship being depressed. This can result in two effects, you blame the partner for feeling this way or you blame yourself for everything.
The following are some signs of relationship being depressed. These symptoms and signs are not the end of the relationship. It is just that when you notice these signs, you need to make sure that you and your partner take necessary measures to help make the relationship work.
Dominated and criticised
Try not to overpower the other; feeling under powered or inferior can lead to a depressing relationship. A shared power is what you need to look at. Also, criticising about anything that your partner does can also end in a depressing relationship. A feedback is appreciated, but try not to criticise. These are very fundamental signs of a relationship being depressed.
Controlling You
Try avoid having any bossy attitude in the relationship. Give each other space and try not be in each other’s way. When your partner controls your time, finances and friends, it can lead to depression in relationships. A disorder of power can also lead to depression.
Expecting perfection
Everyone makes mistakes and it is only natural that you or your partner is not right most of the times. Expecting total perfection in all deeds will also lead to a depressing relationship. This will naturally be very stressful to you, as anything you say will be subdued, and in a relationship it doesn’t work that way. Equal importance needs to be given to both partners.
Ultimatums
When you start giving ultimatums, it can be signs of relationship being depressed. When your feelings or concerns are no longer considered, you will have a feeling of powerlessness. This will lead to depression. Try and listen to the other person, be open and accept what they want to tell. Communication is the only solution to this problem.
Anger and depression
If your partner is depressed, you can also get depressed. Depression is contagious and you will also find yourself looking at the problem just like your partner. Anger can also lead to depression in relationship. When you are angry, try to relax before you say anything because anything said while you are angry can hurt your partner.
