Are Women More Suspicious Than Men?

By Sheetal Tewari

Three questions about suspicion. Is suspicion good for a relationship? Of course yes...Otherwise how will you know how deeply and madly in love you are. Does suspicion hurt relationships? Of course no, it's the truth that hurts. So who is more suspicious man or woman? Well, that's where matters get complicated. Since men are from Mars and women from Venus, complication is a natural phenomenon.

How about trying to simplify things and see how men and women approach the interesting concept of suspicion.

Men doubt their women because they know women are emotional beings. They know a woman is capable of making a three hour phone call to her Canada based sister on her birthday. They also know that a woman is capable of gifting an I-phone 5 to her best friend for her wedding. It's the money they are worried about and they doubt their women are wasting it.

Are Women More Suspicious Than Men?

Men are often suspicious of the mother-in-law factor. They firmly believe that their mother-in-law is on an ever continuing mission to train her daughter. They believe that she knows all the tricks of the book to make her daughter win all her wars against the poor husband.

Many men doubt their women because these men underestimate themselves. They have a poor opinion of themselves. They doubt their own looks and performance on bed. So they doubt their wives are seeking better alternatives all the time.

Men also doubt their women are soap opera addicts. He doubts she is watching the daily ‘saas-bahu' soap at home even when the poor woman is actually busy chatting up her Canada based sister on phone.

And on the other hand, women doubt their husbands because they know men are men. Women know that an after-hour important meeting at the office is a very common excuse for a session at the bar. She doubts that her husband loves his cricket more than anything else in the world. She also doubts that he loves his beer more than he loves her.

Women are also suspicious of the mother-in-law factor. She is often certain that her husband is a total mama's boy and incapable of making any decision himself. She doubts that the mother-in-law is plotting against her and is training her son to love his mother more than his wife.

Women also doubt that the husband is sleeping around with everybody in the office and at the gym. All office trips are frowned upon and silent checks are made for those elusive lipstick marks on the shirt.

Women also doubt that their husbands are porn addict and are surfing for porn on the net all the time. The poor chap might be reading about his favorite football star, but he is a porn addict and cricket, football, politics...they are all porn.
