It is taken for granted that women are the emotional creatures, whereas men are less affected by emotional stress. Hence nobody thinks much before speaking out to them, which is actually not true. Well intended comments can actually help an individual but if communicated wrongly, they can prove to be disastrous. Single men are very sensitive to judgmental remarks. You might end up losing a good friend or making them feel miserable.

Good that you are not bonded by responsibilities.
Sure there are lesser responsibilities in single men's life, but that doesn't mean they are running away from responsibilities. They would take care of responsibilities now and then with equal importance.

You must try having fun.
And who says he doesn't have fun! Being single is not the end of the world. Single men do have fun and a lot more than their married or committed counterparts. Men enjoy being single, either for a long or short span of time. Single men prefer taking time in catching up with friends and family.

You look great and have a nice personality. Then, what's wrong!
Well, thank you for giving a blow to the confidence. All single men would hate this comment. The society often puts such remarks and asks such questions if you are a single man.

Try online dating.
True that many people find partners through online dating websites, but the rate of heartbreaks is even higher. All single men do know about dating sites. May be your friend is simply not hopeful about finding real people over the internet.

You will find someone great when the time is right.
Nobody knows when is that right time. Neither do you. So, why not have some real life talks with single men?

Try thinking of the time when you have gone through the single phase. Try knowing how they feel about being single and most importantly do not judge them. It's a tough phase for some, mostly when they have had previous relationships. Many single men say they embrace this phase and try focusing on personal growth. Single men find it comforting when they have someone who would lend an ear to what they have to say, without reacting to it.
