Men Are Not Guilty
Women feel a lot of guilt, whereas males feel too little of the same emotion.
The feelings of guilt is more intense among females, be it among adolescents or adult women. Women also show the highest scores for interpersonal sensitivity.
Published in the Spanish Journal of Psychology, a study that was carried out using samples from three age groups; teenagers, young people and adults who were equally divided between males and females.
The participants were required to fill questionnaires and tests like the interpersonal sensitivity tests were carried out. On comparing the answers the measurements of intensity of habitual guilt, the researchers saw that the score was significantly higher for women, in all three age groups.
The difference was highly evident among those in in the age group of 40 to 50 years.
The data also suggest that female teenagers and young women have higher scores than males of the same age group. Such a difference is caused by social practices and educational awareness among the people.
