Vegetable upma is a traditional South Indian breakfast dish. Upma, or khara bath, is usually paired with kesari bath and together, this dish is called 'chow chow bath'.

Upma is prepared by initially frying the rava and then adding it to the mixture of boiling water. Adding vegetables to this dish is optional; whereas, in our recipe, carrots, capsicum and peas are added to make the upma more healthier and tastier.

Upma is a quick and easy-to-make breakfast dish. But it is also eaten as a dinner meal occasionally. The amount of oil used in this dish is more, as the rava and vegetables absorb it completely.

So, if you'd like to try our version of the vegetable upma, watch the video and learn how to make this dish with a step-by-step procedure containing images.
