Pudina chaas is a cold beverage that is prepared all over India as a refreshment and a perfect way to end a Punjabi meal. Here is the detailed procedure with images and a video.
Pudina chaas is a refreshing drink that is traditionally prepared after every meal in Punjab and the other parts of the country. It is prepared by grinding pudina leaves with chilli and ginger and adding it to the curd with water.
The pudina lassi is a refreshment and also acts as a coolant. Both mint leaves and curd have a cooling effect and hence this drink is perfect to quench your thirst on a hot summer day. Generally, in Punjab, every meal usually ends with people drinking a glass of lassi that cools the body after a spicy meal.

Pudina leaves - 5-6 + for garnishing
Ginger (grated) - an inch
Green chilli - 1
Water - 1 cup
Thick curd - 2 cups
Salt to taste
Jeera powder - 1 tsp
Dry pudina powder - for garnishing (optional)

1. Take the pudina leaves and chop them.
2. Chop the green chilli too.
3. Add the chopped pudina leaves and the green chilli to the mixer jar.
4. Further, add the grated ginger and half a cup of water into the jar.
5. Blend it into a smooth and flowing consistency.
6. Take thick curd in a bowl and whisk it to a smooth texture.
7. Add the blended mint mixture to it.
8. Add half a cup of water and whisk it well again.
9. Add salt and jeera powder and blend well.
10. Transfer it into a serving glass.
11. Lastly, garnish it with dry pudina powder and fresh mint leaves.
- 1. Wash the mint leaves thoroughly before using them.
- 2. In case you are preparing this for a Vrat, you can use sendha namak instead of the normal salt.

STEP BY STEP - HOW TO MAKE PUDINA CHAAS
1. Take the pudina leaves and chop them.


2. Chop the green chilli too.

3. Add the chopped pudina leaves and the green chilli to the mixer jar.


4. Further, add the grated ginger and half a cup of water into the jar.


5. Blend it into a smooth and flowing consistency.

6. Take thick curd in a bowl and whisk it to a smooth texture.

9. Add salt and jeera powder and blend well.
