Grilled Kiwi With Fresh Fruits And Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe
Grilled kiwi with fresh fruits and vanilla ice cream is a continental dessert that is prepared by Chef Rahis Khan. Here is a detailed step-by-step procedure.
Have you ever heard of a grilled kiwi used as a dessert? Well, chef Rahis Khan brings us a very exotic recipe of the grilled kiwi with fresh fruit and vanilla ice cream dessert.
Those who love fresh fruits in their desserts would surely feel this recipe is a haven for them. I personally love fresh fruit desserts, since the flavours are so amazing.
It's a mix of sweet and sour, thus making the palate less sweet, yet keeping the original essence of the dessert.

Butter - 1 cup
Brown sugar - ½ cup
Dark rum - 2 tbsp
Ripe kiwi (peeled) - 1
Vanilla ice cream - 2 scoops
Fresh fruit (like raspberries, strawberries, or blueberries) - 1/2 cup

1. Initially we need a barbecue. So arrange one.
2. Now preheat a barbecue or indoor grill to medium.
3. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
4. Add ½ cup brown sugar and 2tablespoons of rum in the saucepan.
5. Stir in the brown sugar and rum and continue stirring until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens, for almost about 8-9 minutes.
6. Slightly spray the grill grates with non-stick spray and place the kiwi cut-side-down on the grill grates.
7. Grill for about 1-2 minutes and brush the top frequently with glaze.
8. Flip and cook an additional 1-2 minutes, brushing frequently.
9. Move the kiwi to cutting board in slice into individual-sized portions and then place the kiwi into the glass and top with the fresh fruit and a scoop of ice cream.
10. This dessert is layered with richness of strawberry, kiwi and black grape.
11. We have also topped the dessert with mint leaves since it provides freshness to the palate and the dessert looks appealing.
12. Dish is ready to serve, so enjoy the treat.
- 1. Use of non-sticky spray while cooking is very important as it allows the amount of oil which is actually required for cooking.
