Is There A Right Age To Get Pregnant?
Women can get pregnant and give birth from puberty when they begin getting their menstrual period to menopause when they stop getting it.
An average woman's reproductive years range from 12 to 51 years of age.
It is natural for your fertility to decline as you age, which can make it difficult for you to conceive. Additionally, starting a family later in life may increase the risk of complications during pregnancy [1].

What Is The Healthiest Age To Get Pregnant?
Before we discuss what the doctors say about pregnancy, let us first examine what factors are important when it comes to pregnancy and conception.
In general, both men and women are healthier and at their best between the ages of 20 and 25. During this phase, they are physically more active, and if they have children, they are capable of taking care of them well.
However, this is not the age at which you have enough life experience, maturity, and financial freedom. As a result, some couples consciously decide to delay their wedding until they have taken care of their finances. Furthermore, once you reach the age of 30 or 40, you tend to be financially secure, but your reproductive abilities tend to diminish as you get older [2].
According to a recent study, all these factors made it clear that the best time for a woman to become pregnant would be around the age of 29 [3].
The Problems Of Conceiving Late
Women are born with approximately 2 million eggs, which gradually decrease over the course of their lives.
By the time you reach age 37, you will have about 25,000 eggs left. By age 51, you will only have 1,000 eggs left. That might sound like a lot of eggs, but the quality of your eggs also declines with age [4].
Getting older also increases your risk of developing conditions that can negatively impact fertility, such as endometriosis and tubal disease.
Due to these factors, fertility begins to decrease gradually between ages 32 and 37. Fertility begins to decrease more rapidly between 35 and 37.
There are other factors that may reduce your chances of becoming pregnant, including [5]:
- Smoking
- Cancer treatments
- Pelvic infection
On A Final Note...
There is a consensus among experts that the best time to become pregnant is between one's late twenties and early thirties.
You should consider your emotional and financial readiness to start a family when making a decision to become pregnant. The timing of this decision is unique to each woman.
