Low Blood Pressure During Pregnancy
One of the major effects to health during pregnancy in the first trimester is Low blood pressure. Pregnancy low blood pressure is a common ailment, which begins in the state of, 'Hypotension'. Low blood pressure is the less blood pressure on the arteries, which also means uneven distribution of blood.
Low blood pressure during pregnancy is caused basically due the tendency of blood pooling in the leg during pregnancy. This makes less blood available to the brain and the rest of the body. Thus, one may feel dizziness and light-headedness during pregnancy. The next cause of low blood pressure during pregnancy is dehydration. Factors contributing to dehydration is lack of fluid intake and exposure to heat. Inappropriate fluid in the body can directly effect the way blood flows in the body.
Common symptoms of low blood pressure during pregnancy is dizziness, fainting, nausea, fatigue, blurred vision and irregular heart rate. These symptoms can cause harm to both baby and the mother. It could lead to still birth, injured baby, weak eye sight of the mother etc.

1.Eat Several Times – To keep a check on blood pressure from dropping, pregnancy diet should consist of several small meals a day. Food intake five times a day is advised to many pregnancy women.
2.Low Carb Diet – Avoid excess intake of high carbohydrate food like potatoes, bread, pasta etc.
3.Keep Body Hydrated – Pregnancy diet always advises to keep your body hydrated with the intake of fruit juice, water, health drinks etc.
4.Sodium Intake – Water mixed with a pinch of salt and sugar is one of the best source of saline. The intake of saline water twice a day is enough but still should be taken with the advice of the doctor.
