Home tutoring is a common practice, especially considering the fact that schools overload children with work. Children also get bored of school, don't they? Home tutoring does have its benefits as far as allowing the child's mind to function freely and stave off pressure. However, it does have a few disadvantages. Let us briefly look at some disadvantages of home tutoring.
Firstly, the child's ability to interact with the outside world is severely limited in the case of home tutoring. If you home tutor your child, his ability to interact and subsequently understand the complications of the outside world will be reduced to naught.
Next, home tutoring your child for too long without enabling him or her to go to school can lead to another problem. Your child fails to become street smart. He fails to understand how best to carry himself in order to make best use of his abilities.
Third, and most importantly, he fails to assess himself. Self assessment is crucial for the growth of the child. He fails to assess himself and has no clue where he stands in comparison to his peers.
Thus, listed above are the disadvantages of home tutoring your child. It is important that every child goes to school and experiences the joy pof schooling more than anything else.
