TEENAGE TROUBLE: Parents Avoid These Mistakes

Being a new parent is exciting but equally tough. New parents are thrilled but equally nervous. Every new parent makes a few mistakes initially; making mistakes is the part of the process of learning. This article is all about the common mistakes made by every new parent.

Mistakes Made By New Parents

1.Panic Attacks –
Panic attacks are common mistakes made by every new parent. When a baby falls, gets a little hurt, slips on the floor, vomits or does anything slightly beyond normal many parents tend to over react and panic. This is not good for the baby as well. The baby also gets horrified by the panic struck reactions of the parents and end up crying. Getting hyper on small issues is a common mistake every new parent makes.

2.Hunger cravings – New parents or first time parents always misunderstand a baby’s cry as its hunger cravings. This is not always true. A baby should be fed at regular intervals of time, not always when it starts a tear outburst. Try not to overfeed the baby and put on a time habit for it’s milk feeding. Also, never wake up a baby from sleep to breast feed it. This is a common mistake made by first parents or new parents.

3.Medical Help only when necessary – A common mistake made by every new parent or first time parents is that they call their doctor for every small problem. The parents call upon the doctor even when the baby sneezes a little. Do not go to a doctor or use medicines for the baby frequently. Using medicines from infant stage can hamper the immunity of the baby. This is one mistake that should be avoided by new parents.

4.Let the baby cry –
Every baby needs to cry as they are designed for it. New parents always get a feeling that they have done something wrong the instant the baby starts crying. Avoid this mistake and let the baby cry it out. It is not necessary to worry unless the baby is crying for a prolonged period of time.

5.Advice and tips – Every baby is modeled different, therefore, do not work on every advice or tip you get from other parents. Your baby might have different choices and tastes.
