Vacations are the most exciting and awaited time in every child's life. The daily routine of children is filled with school and extra classes heaved up with the burden of homework and exams. Vacations are the only days when kids can play and have fun without many restrictions. But, vacations should not be wasted just in fun and frolic. Parents should keep their children busy and their minds should be occupied with something or the other.

Vacations should never be spent watching TV and playing computer games. But they should also not be stressed and burdened with a heck of tuition and hobby classes. A few things to teach kids during vacations are described below:

Swim- Kids should know how to swim. Swimming is one such exercise that can be fun as well. It is one thing to teach your children during vacations. Swimming lessons for kids is available during vacations. As swimming is a tiring exercise, vacations are the best time to learn them.

Art & Craft- Art & Craft lessons can broaden the minds of your children. These classes open the imagination gates of kids and improve their thinking. They include drawing, sketching, and various types of paintings, origami and so on.

Dance- If your kids have some groove in them, make it a point to teach them dance during vacations. Dance would keep them fresh and energetic always. Dance would teach them lessons of discipline and help them to focus.

Music- Music is a best thing to teach your kids during vacations. Music includes both singing and laying various musical instruments. Music calms the mind and soul, even for kids. Music can teach lessons of patience. Encourage your kid if they are interested in music and singing.

Camps and Vacations- Whether a family vacation or a summer camp, try to teach management lessons to your kids. If you send your kids on camps let them learn how to live when alone, how to manage their own belongings and how to do money management. Even when you go for family vacations teach them the importance of the trip, the destination details and the way one must behave when out for a trip.

Kids are quick learners and good observers. During vacations you can ask them to help you with your work, put up a small stall and raise their own pocket money and make new friends. Vacations are the time you can teach them the lessons of life, love and money.
