Missed Ovulation! Can You Get Pregnant?

It is often believed that when a woman is not ovulating, she is pregnant. Sometimes, you miss your ovulation date and feel that you can't get pregnant when you are not ovulating. The truth is that you can get pregnant even when you are not ovulating.
First thing to observe is, if you are not ovulating, it is not necessary that you are pregnant. You can't get sure before taking a test. Hormonal changes can delay or pre-pone the ovulation. You ovulate when the egg is released from the ovaries. When you don't ovulate, you check if you are pregnant and if the test is negative but you still missed your ovulation, there are still of getting pregnant.
You can get pregnant even while not ovulating becasue the egg lives in fallopian tube and can fertilize with the sperm. The life span of sperm is for 3-5 days so it can fertilize with the egg in the ovaries. If you are not ovulating and missed you periods too, get a pregnancy test as missing periods is a sign of pregnancy.
To be 100% sure of your pregnancy, take the pregnancy test. If you still miss your ovulation, consult your doctor.
