Conjunctivitis, an infection of eyes is getting common in newborns these days. The allergy is mostly caused by the mother and may even be dangerous to the eyes. The inflammation may lead to pink eyes, irritation, pus, irritation in the nose and fever. 3. Dispose and discard the cotton in the bin to avoid the spread of infection.
4. While giving a bath to the baby, adding salt to the warm water will help in cleasing the eyes of the baby and prevent further infection.
5. Apply the prescribed ointment and drops regularly (as per doctor's advice).
6. Wiping babies with milk soaked cotton is also a good remedy for cure.
