Biden served as the 47th Vice-President in the Obama administration from 2009 to 2017. He has spent nearly 36 years in Senate as a member of the Democratic Party.

1. Joe Biden was born on 20 November 1942 in Scranton Pennsylvania, United States. Initially, Biden's father was a wealthy man but then due to some financial setbacks, the family faced several financial issues.

2. He studied at the University of Delaware and later went on to pursue a law degree (in 1968) at Syracuse University.

3. In the year 1970, he was elected as the New Castle Country Councillor after which he became the sixth youngest senator in the history of America.

4. Biden holds the dignity of being the longtime member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee after which he was eventually elected as its chairman.

5. After Obama won the 2008 Presidential Election, Biden was re-elected to the Senate and was one of the fourth-most Senior Senator to serve as the Vice-President in Obama's administration.

6. He worked on negotiating with the Congressional Republicans for passing various legislation such as the 2010 Tax Relief Act which later resolved the tax deadlock and the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 that impended the fiscal cliff.
