Weddings are considered to be made in heaven; and it is a religious event that happens where people believe God's blessings are very much needed for a bright future of the couple.
The wedding of a local godman's, named Sridhara Swami, daughter not only became the talk of the town but also a subject worth mulling for thousands in the country!
This was a special wedding where people dressed up like gods and goddesses; and we must salute the sporting spirit of the people who dressed up in this unique way for the wedding!

The Bride And Groom’s Look
This bride was all decked up with jewellery and was carried onto the stage in a makeshift lotus. Apparently, she represents Lakshmi who is the Hindu goddess of wealth and fortune. In the meantime, the bridegroom was seen waiting on the stage and he was dressed up like Lord Vishnu.

The Bride Is The Daughter Of A Godman!
The bride, named Harishita, is the daughter of a godman named Sridhara Swami. He is a godman who enjoys his popularity in the two Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

It Was Not Only The Family That Was Dressed This Way!
Apparently, it was not only the new couple and their immediate families that were dressed for the occasion. The other guests who were children too were dressed in a traditional attire teamed up with ethnic jewellery and golden headgears.

The Godman Revealed Why This Concept Was Chosen…
The Godman revealed, "During the olden days, weddings used to happen in this manner only. We used to follow the 'sanathana' traditions. Weddings used to take place in a pious manner. To replicate the same and inculcate the same pious feeling, we conducted it this way."
