6 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Spy On Your Kid
Being parents not only brings you unmatched pleasure in the earth, but you need to perform huge responsibilities too. When your kid comes to the earth, you take an oath to save and protect him/her from all kind of perils. If you are a parent, you will know that how much you get worried when he becomes late coming from school, you get tensed about his exams and even of his friend circle. As parents we are over protective about them, but dont spy on your kids as they don't like it.
To parents their offspring are always kids. They never grow up whatever their age is. This kind of possessiveness and love is OK. But when your child is growing up, he or she is preparing a new world for her. It is not only they grow by age, their maturity level grows, they learn to face the world by themselves to some extent. Yes, parents play the vital role in building up the character and ability to face new challenges that life brings before your child. But over protectiveness sometimes becomes dangerous.
Why Parents Shouldn't Yell At Kids
This over protectiveness may usually lead to parents spying on kids. There are lots of debates on this issue. So, what to do? Leave your children to do whatever they want? Don’t you have any right on their life? Yes, you have and don’t let them do always as they like. But that doesn't mean you can monitor all their whereabouts. Such an attitude can rebound on you in a very bad way-
1. They Lose Trust On You- What worst can happen more than this? Parents are the last place where kids want to hide themselves from everything. But if you always spy on his mobile or laptop, they will not trust you ever and that can be disheartening for both of you.
2. They May Not Respect You- Spying on your kids might make relations bitter between your family. The ultimate thing you want from your children is respect. But you will lose it by yourself if you try to interfere on their privacy all the time and prick them with what you find.
3. They May Be Violent Or Susceptible On You- Who can know your child better than you? How is he or she? Short-tempered or introvert? If they belong to the first group they may be violent if you repeatedly do the same thing. Otherwise they will suppress hatred and become susceptible about you.
4. They Will Not Respect Your Privacy- How will you feel if they start to interfere in all your matters? And if you forbid, they will answer, “I have learnt it from you, Mom”. That you will not tolerate and take steps. But, think, your child is growing up and they need some privacy too.
5. They May Not Have The Strength To Face The World- Yes, this can happen. If you continuously monitor their whereabouts and keep spying on their social accounts and mobile, they can lose self-confidence. They can break from inside and have a fear to face the world because you have made them believe that there are only perils outside.
6. They Become Adamant- Last but not the least. Your kid will get angry; forbid you not to do such things. If you don’t listen to them at all, they will not care anymore and can be prone to worse thing to challenge you.
Going through the article you may think should parents spy on their kids ? This raises questions in your mind on how to know then that they are not doing the wrong thing. Try to believe your kid. You have given them the correct culture and show the right way to lead their life. Be their friends and let them share and talk to you without any fear. You yourself will know how to protect them and they will admit your suggestions too.
