9 Signs You Are A Fashion Victim
Every time you swipe your card to pay a hefty amount for the 'fashionable' clothes you buy, you feel victimised. But you still come back in a week to buy clothes from your favourite brand just because there is a 'sale'. You shop even when there are unopened packages dumped in your wardrobe. All these are signs that you are a fashion victim. You have fallen prey to the bait of fashion giants. You do not follow fashion; it's the fashion that follows you around everywhere. These are all signs that you love brands very much.
Shopping and following fashion are two related obsessions. Most people who display signs of being shopaholics are also victims of fashion. It is cool to be a stylish person. But to be slave to vague trends is not healthy. If you show signs that you are a fashion victim, then try to pull yourself out of your situation.
What you basically need is rehabilitation in a non-fashionable world. Here are some signs that will prick your ears if you are addicted to fashion.

You buy only branded clothes
You never buy clothes 'off the streets'. It is a sacrilege to think of yourself in clothes that are not branded or one season old.

When you look at an outfit, you know which brand and collection it belongs to
When your friends exclaim, 'hey nice dress'; you are actually saying in your mind 'Christian Dior Winter Fall Collection 2013'.

If you cannot guess the brand of an outfit, you lose sleep
Suppose you see your friend in a really cool outfit and you are not able to guess which brand it is from, you find it hard to get sleep that night.

You only wear clothes that flash brand names
You only wear clothes that state the name of the brand in bold letters. That is why; United Colours Of Benetton, Bebe and FCUK are your favourite brands.

You wear clothes just because they are 'in trend'
You wear clothes just because they are the current trend. You do not care if you look ridiculous in them.

You wear clothes that don't fit you well
You will squeeze yourself into pencil skirts even if they are not the best for your bottom heavy figure. You will also wear palazzo pants even if you are short and trip over them.

You wear heels with a plaster on
High heels are the best signs of a fashion victim. You will find women afflicted by fashion and wear high heels even when they have injured legs or are pregnant.

You wear clothes inappropriate for your age
You are willing to try clothes that are too revealing for your age just so that you can be fashionable. You don't mind trying on a ridiculous hat even if it is for a younger woman.

You read fashion magazines as if it is in your syllabus
Your daily dose of 'intellectual reading' comes from fashion magazines. You read up Vogue, Femina and Harper's Bazaar as if it is part of your college syllabus.
