European Union To Conduct ‘Restaurant Week’ In Mumbai
As part of its ‘Tastes of Europe' campaign, the European Union will host a restaurant week in Mumbai from 6th - 12th September 2014.
With its ‘Restaurant Week' scheduled from 6th - 12th September in Mumbai, the European Union (EU) is all set to take consumers on a European gastronomic trip.
Held as an extension of its ‘Tastes of Europe' campaign, the ‘Restaurant Week' aims to increase consumer awareness about European dishes, ingredients and flavours in India. Involving a collaboration with high end restaurants in Mumbai catering to European cuisine, the ‘Restaurant Week' will see these restaurants whip out dishes guaranteed to tease Indian taste buds and in turn grow an appreciation for European produce, dairy products and wine.
As part of this food promotional campaign, the EU will also participate at the 9th edition of the Annapoorna World of Food India Exhibition 2014 from 24th - 26th September 2014 in Mumbai.
Spanning 20 days of gastronomic glory, the EU will undertake several initiatives to help provide a comprehensive understanding of European foods and ingredients in India along with conducting workshops and seminars which will highlight the quality aspects and specialties of processed foods from Europe.
Timings - 12pm-3pm and 7pm-11pm
Rates for a 3 course meal start from INR. 1500/-
List of participating restaurants:

Olive Bar and Kitchen, Khar
A place where the city's happy people congregate to dine well, to dip into an outstanding cellar, and to linger over laughter and conversation. Just like the city, Mumbai's Olive is a bit of a chameleon: at tgit bar nights on Thursdays, the place explodes with music and high spirits. But visit for Sunday Brunch, and it's lazy laughter in a sunlit courtyard, where no one will hurry you from your table.

Vetro at The Oberoi, Nariman Point
The Oberoi's elegant Italian restaurant (helmed by Chef Alessandro Stefoni of the Hassler, Rome) continues to delight. The only one-of-its-kind wine tasting at the vinoteca, creative, Italian fare and an elegant ambience are the highlights of this superlative restaurant.

Prego at Westin, Goregaon
The artistic flavors of Italy come to life inside this culinary art house. Guests can enjoy a lively show kitchen while feasting on fresh pastas, homemade bread, and delicious hand-tossed pizzas.

Salt Water Café, Churchgate
The décor of the restaurant is quite elegant with bay windows overlooking the street, the interiors not overly done but with a very soft and elegant look and at the same time maintain its cool comfortable ambience.

Smoke House Deli, Bandra Kurla Complex
A kitchen that wakes up sooner than the sun, Smokehouse Deli specialises in cocktails, friends, gourmet meals, live gig's, DJ evenings and much more.

Olio at Novotel Hotel, Juhu
Choice of sea facing restaurants serving regional, international, Chinese and Italian cuisine, chic sea lounge and French patisserie. Ocean view guest rooms and meeting rooms with large capacity-up to 1000 guests. Well known for sunset on the beach.

Maritime by San Lorenzo, Taj Lands End, Bandra
From casual, all-day eateries to formal, fine dining, guests can look forward to a wide selection of delectable dishes and refreshing drinks.

Indigo Deli, Colaba
Despite the overwhelming menu, as Indigo Deli regulars know, the establishment excels in home-style American comfort food-burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, cookies-that has admirably never been compromised to make it more palatable to Indian tastes.

Nido, Bandra
Nido's hand-illustrated menu with drawings of vegetables, herbs and animals fits into the overall prettiness of things.

Botticino at Trident, BKC
Named after the 'Pietra di Botticino', the beautifully veined Italian marble that has been used extensively in the hotel, the restaurant is an ode to hearty Italian falvours. The menu presents a wide range of traditional Italian dishes, served with a contemporary flair. The grappa display in beautifully designed Venetian hand blown glass bottles and an Enoteca with a fine selection of wines, makes Botticino a must visit.
