In 1989, after suffering for 10 long years, Kiranjit Ahluwalia killed her cruel and abusive husband, Deepak. He used to frequently beat, torture and rape her. She set him on fire with a mixture of caustic soda and petrol, while he was sleeping. He succumbed to his wounds a few days later.

She was also known as the penis-burning wife. Her husband, Satish Narayan, was having an affair, of which Rajini did not certainly approve of. So, she decided to teach him a lesson by burning his penis. When Satish panicked, while she set him on fire, he accidentally knocked over the bottles of spirit and this led to more severe casualty that he succumbed to after 20 days.

This woman was charged for pouring gasoline over her husband's head and setting him on fire. He had apparently molested his 7-year-old stepdaughter - Hedman's child. He managed to ran out while his head was still burning. He collapsed while he was pleading people to help him out. When the police confronted her, she told them that shooting him would have been "too nice", for which she chose to set him on fire.

She claims that it was an accidental incident that happened. Michelle Houcks and her husband decided to go on separate paths, as they were sure that they would kill each other if they stayed under one roof. One day, after she moved out, she found a woman in the man's house and decided to set him on fire. She poured gasoline over him after arguing; and while they wrestled to throw away the lighter, she claimed it accidentally flicked the lighter and killed her husband.
