3 Way Ditto: Asin Repeats Gaurav Gupta Saree
Asin has been hiding from our cameras for quite some time now. But guess where we spotted the Southern belle recently? Asin was at the Avon Stars Convention 2014. Asin was in saree that looked very strangely familiar. Asin's saree could have only been a Gaurav Gupta creation. Asin was the guest of honour at the Avon event because she happens to be the brand ambassador for the line of beauty products.
Asin was in a saree that is being described as a lame saree these days. Typically a lame saree is not draped like a normal saree. It is just another way describing a saree style gown. The saree is knotted up like a Grecian gown around the waist and then draped across the chest like a cape. Asin's saree too resembled more of a gown than a proper 6-yard saree.

Asin looks stunning in this version of the antique gold metallic lame saree from Gaurav Gupta. We like the way she have paired the saree with a full-sleeved turtleneck blouse.
Bipasha Basu's IIFA 2014 Gown
Asin's saree looks very similar to Bipasha Basu's Gaurav Gupta gown seen on the green carpet of IIFA 2014.

This is the ramp version of the lame saree style gown that Asin is wearing. It was showcased with Gaurav Gupta's collection at Lakme Fashion Week 2014.

Bipasha Basu's IIFA 2014 gown was again a repeat of the same gown that Maliaka Arora Khan was wearing at Miss Diva pageant last month.

So finally, we get to see three Bollywood beauties in a more or less similar version of the Gaurav Gupta lame saree style gown. Who do you think looked best in this outfit?
Lame sarees are particularly popular in metallic shades. We saw quite a few lame sarees in Tarun Tahiliani's latest collection. Asin's saree too was a antique gold saree style gown. Asin paired up the draped outfit with a black full sleeved turtleneck blouse. Now on any woman who is not as slim as Asin, this blouse will severe instead of sleek. So if you have a heavy frame, do not try this kind of closed neck blouse (special warning for Vidya Balan: please don't try this at home).
We realised Asin is wearing Gaurav Gupta because of a strange coincidence. Asin's Gaurav Gupta saree was strangely de javu. It reminded us vaguely of the IIFA 2014. Bipasha Basu's Gaurav Gupta gown on the green carpet looked particularly familiar with this saree. Bipasha too was wearing lame metallic gown with layered lace details. It was like seeing two versions of the same outfit that have been altered with different embellishments.But it is not over yet, Maliaka Arora Khan wore the same gown at Miss Diva pageant about a month ago. All the outfits were picked from Gaurav Gupta's LFW 2014 collection.
