Katy Perry is known for making really wild and whacky style statements. We keep looking forward to the strange hair colours that she tries. So far we have seen her dye her hair blue, green, red and purple. She usually goes for body suits and leotards for her performances. But at the White House dinner, Katy Perry kept her style rather elegant. Katy Perry was seen in an Elie Saab gown for the Olympics dinner hosted by the Obamas at the Presidential residence.

KATY PERRY GOES GREEN WITH HER HAIR

Katy Perry was in a gown that was shimmering electric blue in colour. This gown was most certainly an Elie Saab creation. We absolutely loved Katy Perry in this Elie Saab Pre Fall 2014 collection. This gown had full sleeve and a scooped out back. The shimmering gown had beaded embellishments that fomed patterns on the fabric. Katy Perry's White House avatar was a rather tamed down version of her real self but we found her rather charming in this style as well.

Katy Perry performed at the State Dinning Room of the White House during a private dinner hosted by Barack Obama and Michelle Obama. Katy pulled her hair back into a bun and went for her usual dramatic eye makeup. She wore dainty diamond ear cuffs. Katy painted her lips a shocking pink in colour. She wore a diamond ring to match her earrings. But her accessories were rather simple for the evening.

After Katy Perry's performance at the White House Olympics dinner, President Barack Obama himself joined her on the podium. He shook hands with the popular songstress and congratulated her on her performance. The sparkling blue gown was a perfect choice of the evening.
