Kanye West, the expecting father of Kim Kardashian's child celebrated his 36th birthday alone. Yes, you read it right. The lovebirds were not together on this special day. Kanye is in New York to perform at the Governor's Ball. Kim could not take the long trip to New York so, the rapper had to spend his birthday without his lady love. Kanye is in New York and just a day after turning 36, the rapper set the stage on fire. He performed 3 new tracks from his hotly-anticipated album, Yeezus.

However, the low key party was attended by his close celebrity friends. Beyonce, Jay Z, Jonathan Cheban, Scott Disick, and David Blaine were a few who made the expecting father's birthday lively. The rapper celebrated his birthday at Miss Lilly's, a unique Caribbean restaurant in downtown Manhattan.

We are sure that the expecting father wanted to spend his birthday with pregnant Kim Kardashian. However, he kept his commitment to headline the annual and biggest music festival at NYC.

Kim whose due date is approaching near, send a message and made the birthday very special for her beau. Kim is not allowed to travel by flight as her due date is very close. So, she decided to make the long distance birthday special by sending him a collage of their best moments together. The reality star tweeted this message, "Happy Birthday to my best friend, the love of my life, my soul!!!! I love you beyond words!" This romantic message was a heart touching gift for her lover, Kanye.

As per sources, Kanye did not want his pregnant girlfriend to plan something big. He just wanted love and Kim has kept up with his expectations. This might be one of the reasons behind his mind blowing performance at the Governor's Ball Music Fest.
