1. Mallya has a passion for cars and owns good collection in his Marin County, California. From a 1913 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost to 2003 Hummer, Mallya has about 35 vintage collections.
2. Vijay Mallya is the first Indian ever to own a Formula One Team.

4. The well known liquor baron is the second highest bidder at the IPL auction, after Mukesh Ambani. The IPL team owner's Royal Challengers Bangalore is franchised by his son Sidhartha Mallya.
