Meet Maria Gomes – The Oldest Woman Alive!

Maria Gomes, also known as “Grandma Quita" has been verified by the Guinness World Record as 114 years and 313 days, born on the 9th 1896 in Carangola, Brazil. She has maintained her regular lifestyle by following a strict diet of bread and healthy fruits and she sometimes sips on a glass of wine to boost herself, when she feels low and weak!
She got married in 1913, bore a son who passed away leaving her with four grandchildren who bore seven great grandchildren and then later they bore five great-great grandchildren for her! The widow and oldest woman alive, Maria Gomes, stated that her father too was alive for around a 100 years, so, therefore it is a blessing for her.
This oldest woman alive, Maria Gomes, strongly credits her non interference personality for her long life. She states that she is to herself and whenever she is asked on what's her secret to her long life is, she quickly retorts saying that 'she minds her own business'.
Her Great grandchild was asked by the Guinness World Record management on the health of (Grandma Quita) Maria Gomes, if she has any health related problems and surprisingly this oldest woman alive does not suffer from blood pressure or cholesterol, neither did she take any medications to stay healthy and fit. Her grandchild stated that Brazil's national dish, Feijoada is her favorite and she lived her daily life indulging herself on bean stew with cuts of salted pork meat and chicken empada pastries with hot sauce!
