Karishma Tanna, Husband Varun Bangera Share First Post After Son's Birth
Karishma Tanna has become a mother. The actress and her husband, businessman Varun Bangera, announced the arrival of their first child, a baby boy, on 29 July 2026 - a date that also marked Guru Purnima.
The couple shared the news through a joint Instagram post, describing the day as sacred and calling their newborn their greatest blessing. They signed off with a simple welcome to their son, tagging the post with both their names. The announcement travelled fast, with congratulatory messages pouring in from friends and colleagues across the industry within minutes.
A Guru Purnima Baby
There is something the couple's fans have already picked up on: the timing. Guru Purnima, observed as a day to honour teachers and mentors, is considered auspicious across Indian households, and Tanna and Bangera leaned into that symbolism in their announcement, framing their son's arrival as tied to the sanctity of the occasion.
Actors Smriti Irani, Maniesh Paul and Wamiqa Gabbi were among those who dropped congratulatory notes on the post. Malaika Arora and Vikrant Massey also sent their wishes, according to reports covering the announcement.
The Quiet Build-Up To Motherhood
Tanna, known for her roles in Naagin 3 and the Hansal Mehta series Scoop, kept much of her pregnancy private, though she did offer fans glimpses into her routine in the final weeks. She spoke about starting her mornings with warm saunf-jeera water, followed by dry coconut and coconut water infused with sabja seeds - small rituals she leaned on as she prepared for the birth.
The actress, who first found nationwide recognition through Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and later as the first runner-up on Bigg Boss 8, married Bangera, a Mumbai-based real estate director, on 5 February 2022, after dating for several years. Their wedding itself became a talking point, with an elaborate haldi and mehendi celebration that played out across Tanna's social media.
What Comes Next
Neither Tanna nor Bangera has revealed the baby's name yet, and the couple is likely to keep the early days private, as most new parents in the public eye tend to do. Given how the pregnancy itself was handled - with measured, occasional updates rather than a constant stream of content - fans should expect the same restraint now that the baby has arrived.
For a couple who built their relationship quietly before making it public, the timing of their son's birth feels fitting. On a day meant for gratitude and new beginnings, Karishma Tanna and Varun Bangera have started the biggest chapter of their lives - and, true to form, they have let the moment speak for itself rather than the noise around it.
