Emmy Winners 2026: Where to Watch the Award-Winning Shows in India
The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards wrapped up on 14 September 2026 with a night of records, upsets and one very busy Matthew Rhys. If the winners list has already added five new shows to your watchlist, the good news is that almost all of them are just a few taps away for Indian audiences, spread across three platforms.
Apple TV's freshman comedy "Widow's Bay" walked away with the most awards in Emmy history, finishing with 14 wins across the Creative Arts ceremonies and the main telecast. HBO Max's "The Pitt" repeated as outstanding drama series for a second straight year, while the dark comedy "DTF St. Louis" took the limited series prize. Here's where each winner is streaming in India.
Apple TV+ Sweeps The Comedy And Drama Wins
Apple TV+ had the standout night among streamers, and its shows are available in India through the same global app used everywhere else.
- "Widow's Bay" - Outstanding Comedy Series, plus acting wins for Matthew Rhys, Stephen Root and Kate O'Flynn
- "Pluribus" - Vince Gilligan's sci-fi drama, which won Rhea Seehorn a lead actress trophy and Gilligan a writing award
- "Slow Horses" - won a directing Emmy for Saul Metzstein
HBO Max Content Is Now On JioHotstar
Warner Bros. Discovery's HBO Max catalogue launched exclusively on JioHotstar in India earlier this year, bundled as an add-on hub starting at ₹49 a month. That means the night's biggest drama winners are already sitting in Indian subscribers' libraries.
- "The Pitt" - Outstanding Drama Series (second year running), plus Lead Actor for Noah Wyle
- "DTF St. Louis" - Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, starring Jason Bateman and David Harbour
- "Hacks" - Lead Actress win for Jean Smart
- "Task" - Supporting Actor win for Tom Pelphrey
Netflix Picks Up The Rest
Two of the night's acting winners came from Netflix originals already live in India.
- "The Beast in Me" - earned Matthew Rhys his Limited Series Lead Actor award for playing a menacing real estate mogul opposite Claire Danes
- "Remarkably Bright Creatures" - the Sally Field-led film, adapted from Shelby Van Pelt's bestselling novel, won her a Supporting Actress trophy
Notably absent from Indian streaming shelves are two of the night's other honourees: "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert," which won best variety series, and "The Traitors," which won reality competition, both tied to US broadcast and Peacock, neither of which currently operates in India.
Bottomline
This year's Emmys rewarded range over repetition, a horror-comedy about a haunted island winning alongside a hospital drama and a domestic murder mystery. For Indian viewers, the reward is unusually low-friction. Between Apple TV+, JioHotstar's new HBO Max hub and Netflix, nearly the entire winners list is already sitting in three apps most households already pay for. The only real decision left is which one to start with tonight.
