The themes varied from traditional Brindavan story to Space with cow dressed as an astronaut, anti-plastic to Swayamvar etc. The students were given about 2 hours to complete the makeover.
Meanwhile the Mirchi RJs also engaged the crowd with fun games and contests. Celebrity judges from Sandalwood Chetan & newbie Regina seemed to have had a fun time watching the cow beauties walking the ramp. While standing beside the winning cow for a picture Regina cheekily said, “Feel as if we are standing beside a glam diva. Kudos to Radio Mirchi to have come up this fun concept!"
Speaking on the occasion, Rahul Balyan – Cluster Head Karnataka & Kerala said, “Kombu Mela has become our signature event now, since Radio Mirchi has such a strong following with the youth of Bangalore, we decided to adopt and give the sankranti celebrations a youthful and Mirchi twist by conceiving of the Kombhu Mela, worlds only cow fashion show probably. We are happy with the overwhelming response from the colleges and the enthusiasm of their participation."
One of the contestant said, “Taking part and working with real models for a fashion show is something common. But bringing out the best and a different look on a cow was more challenging".
