Peter Graves Passed Away

Peter Graves, star of the television series of Mission Impossible, died on Sunday of an heart attack. He died at an age of 83.

Graves was found dead in his home in Pacific Pallisades. He is said to have collapsed outside his house shortly after returning from a Sunday brunch with his family. There will be no police investigation on his death as it has been declared as a natural death.

Graves, whose film and television career spanned about 60 years, was best known for his Golden Globe winning portrayal of IMF leader, James Phelps on the iconic spy series. The series ran for seven long seasons.

Graves' small-screen career dates back to the mid 50s when he landed a regular gig called Fury. From then on, he became a regular face on television, with additional roles on Whiplash, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Dean Martin Show, Fantasy Island and more recently, 7th Heaven.
