Deepika Padukone Rocks The Ramp At Wills India Fashion Week

The actress held the audience spell bpound in a multicolored full length gown and a short brown and white dress that stood from the ball room gowns and cocktail dresses that dominated the ramp.
Deepika Padukone said that she was glad to do the ramp show from where her career took off to gain entry into Bollywood.
"It's great to be back with the same people I started off with and to know that they feel the same way for me. No one has changed. It's the same make-up artistes, same designers, same models and choreographers. So it's really nice to come back to a place from where I started off," Padukone said.
'Nature & Science' inspired the designers, Rina Dhaka and Rana Gill created an exclusive collection, 'Nature Meets Science,' their theme for the Autumn/Winter season at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, the designers' creations saw an exclusive range.
Dhaka's autumn/winter designs featured brown and blacks while Gill boasted dark brown, green and blue gowns and mini-jackets.
"All the colours of velvet, all basically peacock colour– blue, green, purple have been used. As a designer I love colour. So every season I try and use colour in my palette. So that was the collection for you," Gill of playing with hues.
Novel techniques with regards to printing and huge motifs and fabric texturing featured Dhaka's collection which showcased a mixture of innovation and technology in lines with history and science to create something extremely new.
The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week that is going on to showcase autumn-winter collections has already registered 175 buyers from domestic as well as international market.
The global meltdown has however made its impact getting the buyers to target smaller quantities for their outlets
