Dasha Zhukova, the girlfriend of Russian Jewish billionaire roman abramovich has been appointed as the new editor n chief of Pop magazine. Zhukova, 27, who co-founded the fashion label Kova & T, will lead a revamp of the influential fashion and art publication.

Dasha Zhukova will be working in partnership with editorial director Ashley Heath. She is replacing Katie Grand, Pop's founding editor.

Zhukova will include art and contemporary culture into the magazine's content along with the offbeat luxury fashion. She is recruiting a new freelance team for this purpose.

Pop will also have a new international editorial board including design critic Alice Rawsthorn, fashion icon Daphne Guinness, and artist and film director Sam Taylor-Wood. The first issue of the new-look magazine, owned by Bauer Media, will hit newsstands on September 1 with a cover price of 5 pounds.
