Paris who is due to begin her sentence at California's female-only Century Regional Detention Centre in Lynwood on June 5, for driving without licence has taken to Buddhism as an attempt to avoid jail. She was spotted in Hollywood's Bodhi Tree bookstore picking up a spiritual tome.

It is been spoken that Paris Hilton was advised by her lawyers to "live like a nun" if she is to avoid the jail. She has also stated to some of her pals that she is quitting alcohol, partying and is not going to present herself in skimpy garbs .Paris' pals said that she was advised by her attorneys to live like a nun and cease behaving like a Hollywood star and present herself before the judge with humility and social responsibility which would mean no booze, partying and parading in skimpy outfit and to stick with her family in order to evade the jail.
