The city is all set to witness another high-profile wedding, with former underworld don and MLA from Chinchpokli area, Arun Gawli distributing more than 7000 cards for his daughter Geeta's wedding with businessman Ajay Hirenwar on December 5 at the Royal Western India Turf Club at Mahalaxmi in Central Mumbai.
Geeta is a Municipal Corporator from Chinchpokli area and was elected on a ticket from Gawli-led Akhil Bhartiya Sena this year and is also a member of the Corporation's Improvement Committee.
Gawli's son, Mahesh said "We have printed and distributed around 7,000 odd cards for our friends and acquaintances and around 500 cards for VIPs known to us."
He refused to mention the VIPs on the guest list but said it contained many politicians and most of the MLAs from the Metropolis have been invited to bless the couple.
