US Based Food Company Looks For Foothold
The Broaster, which markets and licences Broasted chicken in 65000 outlets in the world, is looking for a foothold in East India.
''Broasting'', a revolutionary method of preparing chicken, meat and fish by combining pressure cooking and deep frying concepts, is served in seven outlets in western, southern and northern India.
Wellborn International, a company based in east India, has obtained the rights to sell the unique recipe prepared by the US$ 200 million company in 13 Indian states in eastern region.
''We are initially starting with an outlet in Kolkata. Plans are on to set up 5-6 outlets in the eastern region in a year's time,'' Wellborn International's partner Saurav Saha told reporters last night.
''Broasted chicken is famous in many countries, including the Middle East, and we hope to get good demand in the eastern region markets, which enjoys different preparations of chicken,'' Mr Saha said.
