'Darwaza Bandh Rakho' screening held
By Taran Adarsh, IndiaFM
An exclusive, first screening of Adlabs and Ramgopal Varma's DARWAZA BANDH RAKHO was held on Wednesday night [August 2] at Zee Preview Theatre for the cast, important technicians and select guests of RGV. Aftab Shivdasani, Chunky Pandey and Ishrat Ali, who enact pivotal roles in the film, watched the film along with their families and friends.
Since the preview theatre was packed to capacity, Aftab [sporting a new look for the forthcoming film RED] actually watched the entire movie standing behind the last row. Chunky walked in straight from a shoot and is also sporting a different look these days -- he's lost weight and is looking dapper ["no diets, it's swimming that did the trick"].
RGV too watched DARWAZA BANDH RAKHO for the first time last night. "I haven't watched the entire film before," he smiled. Directed by Chekravarthy, DARWAZA BANDH RAKHO is slated for release on Friday, August 4.
RGV was in his element at the screening. "Inviting a film critic for a screening is like inviting someone home for dinner. And at the end of the dinner, all you get to hear is criticism about the food," he laughed. Well said, Ramu-ji.
