Kabir Khan's Kabul Express has been selected for the Toronto International films (TIFF). The film being produced under the Yash Raj banner stars John Abraham and Arshad Warsi in lead roles. The film is being considered as an important breakthrough in the Indian cinema by the Toronto selectors. Kabul Express will have a red carpet presentation for 'Artistic and Daring Cinema from around the World', which will be a Special Presentation Program.
In Kabul Express, John Abraham and Arshad Warsi play TV journalists who go to Kabul post 9/11 to meet Taliban. The film is actually based on Kabir Khan's experience in Kabul when he was shooting a documentary film there. Kabir Khan says that it is a great honor for his film to get selected at the biggest festival in North America.
Along with Kabul Express, Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna will also be screened at TTIF this year. Although only films making their world premiere are screened at Toronto films, however, the organizers are making an exception for KANK which will have a worldwide release a month before the fest.
