Dr K Anji Reddy Receives Award

Vijayawada, Dec 11 (UNI) Dr K Anji Reddy, Chairman of Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd., has been selected for the Pinnamaneni and Seethadevi Foundation Award-2006.

The award, which carries Rs two lakh and a citation, would be presented on December 14 at Thummalapalli Kshetraiah Kalakshetram here.

Announcing the award at a press conference here today, Foundation managing trustee C Nageswara Rao said Dr Reddy was the first individual to take up drug discovery research in the country in 1993 and had led the industry to be one of global recognition.

The award is istituted to honour eminent personalities in the field of literature, culture, fine arts, medicine, science, sports, and social services.
