Be it aggressive dog behavior or anything else, dogs respond to training even better than human babies.

Here are some dog training tips to help you deal with your rebelling pet.

Tips To Handle Aggressive Dog Behavior:

  • You have to understand that your dog is an intelligent animal with simple emotions just like a baby does. If you are able to channalise this intelligence in the right direction without hurting his or her feelings then you will be successful in training a decent dog.
  • You have have a system of reward and punishment with your dog. If aggressive dog listens to you and behaves politely in a given situation then you have to reward him or her with a treat or a pat. If they defy you, you have to discipline them.
  • Your dog understands the difference between 'disciplining' and 'punishing'. You need to get this difference too. You have to, as far as possible, discipline them and not punish them. The more you punish them the more stubborn they will become. You have to reserve punishment for severe offenses like biting so that it doesn"t lose its edge or the element of fear.
  • The most important element of aggressive dog training is that you must never call the dog by its name. For them their name means 'come to me' or 'I love you' which a whole lot of positivity. When you see aggressive dog behavior from your pet, you need to let them know that you are displeased with, so just say a stern 'No' instead of shouting out their name.
  • Dogs respond better to body language and the energy you exude as opposed to what you say. Experts will tell you that dogs can perceive your language over a period of time but after all they are animals. They will grasp actions and gestures much better than words and you have to use that to your advantage in aggressive dog training.
  • Dogs or any any animals for that matter follow the 'pack leader'. Who have to become the 'pack leader' of your household so that he or she knows that you are in change. It could be the timbre of your voice, the way your tug their leash or your confidence while walking them.

These house training tips will help you deal with aggressive dog behavior in the right manner.
