Is Your Doggy Sick ?

Just like how you and I get sick , dogs too fall ill. The worst part of it all is that they cannot communicate their feelings to us. We as owners have to know our dog well to understand how they are feeling. We must rely on their actions and attitudes to guide us. You have to keep a close watch on your dog's health from time to time.
Here are some of the signs for you to keep watch. If your pet is indicating some of these signs then you should call your vet immediately.
You have to go the veterinary hospital or call your vet doctor, if your pet exhibits any of these signs:-
1.Labored breathing
2.Blue, white or pale gums
3.dizziness or imbalance
4.loss of consciousness
5.seizures
6.Extreme bloated abdomen
7.Acute pain in any area of the body with painful cries
8.Body temperature over 104 or under 99 ( The normal temperature is of 100.5 – 102.5)Contact your veterinary doctor if you notice any of these signs that last for more than 2 to 3 more days:- 1.Numb feeling in the legs
2.Weakness
3.Continuous Vomiting
4.Poor appetite
5.Lethargy
6.Excessive salivation
7.Excessive thirst
8.Constipation
9.Wheezing or frequent panting
10.Excessive nasal discharge
11.Inappropriate urination and colour
12.Excessive scratching or flaky hair coat
13.Crying or moderate pain in any area when it is touched.
It is important to follow your vet's advice as to how to go about treating your pet. Giving your own medications is dangerous, don't be a doctor to your pet. If you feel that your dog is acting abnormal , it is advisable to call the doctor at the earliest. It is better to be cautious than to wait.
