Clean shoes are very difficult to maintain especially during the rainy season. This not only applies for the kids but for the adults too. Ways to remove mud stains from shoes can be very difficult task.
Depending on the time given for the mud to set in, the cleaning of the shoes will also be difficult. So to understand how to remove mud stain from shoes, the most important thing is that you need to know what kind of material you are dealing with. Once you are sure of that, you can use the appropriate method to remove the stain.
The following are a few tips that you can use to clean the mud from your shoes and in no time, you will see your reflection on them.

Rubber Shoes
It is easier to remove mud stains from shoes that are made of rubber. All you need is a wash cloth with adequate amount of soap. Any kind of cleaning soap can be used. Apply the soap on shoes and brush it off with a stiff brush. Now, wipe out the soap with a clean cloth.
Cleaning with Soaps
Cleaning shoes with soap can be done by initially wiping off the obvious dirt. Remove the lace and rinse it with warm water. Use some natural soap like detergent or dish washing liquid and a brush to help clean off the rest of the shoe. Rinse them again in warm water and drip dry.
Leather shoes
You can remove mud stains from shoes that are made up of leather with the help of any commercial products that are available in the market. All you need to do is remove the lace and use a brush to clean the cracks, then use the cleaner to clean them. Care should be taken with the products used, use them only if you are very sure of it.
Athletic Shoes
These kind of shoes can be cleaned using water and a neutral cleaner like a shampoo or dish washing liquid. Remove the laces and dip a soft brush into the cleaning mixture and scrub the shoe. Rinse the shoe completely and allow them to dry overnight. The laces can be washed separately in the machine.
Suede Shoes
Suede shoes can be cleaned from mud stains by brushing them off. For any harsh stains, you can use a pencil eraser. Use only a suede brush and a suede protector spray while cleaning shoes. This will ensure the quality of the shoes as well.
Fabric Shoes
You can remove mud stains from shoes by doing a machine wash. Care should be taken in this process, as usually only fabric shoes are suggested for a machine wash. Remove laces and any other removable parts. Add regular detergent and use the warm cycle and let it air dry overnight.
