Everyone follows their own schedule while cleaning their house. Places can be cleaned on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis. However, there are certain important places to clean, which we often miss while cleaning the whole house. It's mostly because we do not realize that we have to clean these places.

Not that you have to clean these places on a weekly basis, at least you can just accommodate it once or twice a year in your cleaning schedule. Follow these housekeeping tips to keep your house sparkling at all times.

Important places to clean at your house:

1.Electronics: Here we are talking about the smaller daily use appliances we cannot do without. All hand held appliances such as remote controls, mouse, keyboard and telephone have to be regularly cleaned with antibacterial wipes.

2.Cleaning Appliances: Yes, we do forget cleaning the washing machine, dishwasher and vacuum cleaner. Mix water with lemon juice, vinegar and baking soda and run a full cycle in the washing machine or dishwasher to remove stains or other accumulated dirt. Use an old toothbrush to clean crevices. The vaccum cleaner attachments too need a wash, while you can clean the brushes by combing them out.

3.The Fridge: We do clean inside our refrigerator and organize it perfectly. But what about the dirt accumulated behind it? Switch off the refrigerator and clean and dust it thoroughly.

4.Walls & Ceilings: You clear cobwebs from windows, doors and even the corners of the house. However, most often we forget the walls and ceiling. Using a feather duster will get rid of the dust settled on the walls and ceilings.

5.Knife Stand: The knife stand is often kept in the vicinity of the stove, so it tends to get sticky after sometime. Just use some hot, soapy water to clean it and dry it well before use.

6.Patio or garden lights: Bird dropping, dust from the road etc. adorn the exterior lights. Clean the bulb with soapy water or dust it well once in a 3-4 months to keep the lights sparkling.
