Valentine's Day Crafts For Your Lover

Cards are the favourite mode of expression of any feelings especially during celebrations.
You can have self made cards to sent to your lover to let him/her know all your passion about the lover. Either you can purchase a ready to use card and then modify it to your personal tastes or make a card fully your own. The shape of the card, pictures and messages on it, the decorations... everything about your Valentine's Day card should convey the special message of romance to your lover. Your card should not be just a piece of decorated paper, but it should be your mind with all the deepest love that you sent enveloped to your lover.
Gifts are another area where you be as imaginative and creative as a professional artist. Other than purchasing a common gift from the shop and presenting to your lover you can opt a gift made by your hand. The most common valentine's day gift is flowers and bouquet. With few available materials like a flower basket, green leaves, and red, pink or white flowers you can make a wonderful Valentine's Day gift for your lover. There are lot more gift items you can easily make for your valentine, like 'heart frames, heart pin, framed romantic pictures, finger puppets, heart basket etc...
Here mentioned are few of the popular Valentine's Day crafts which will help you to impress your lover in a personalised way.
Heart Frames
Materials Required: cardboard, paint, glue, candy conversation hearts, photo and tape.
Method: Cut a heart shape out of the cardboard. The size you will make the heart will depend of the size of the photo you are using. Cut a hole in the center of the heart shape to disply the photo in. Paint your heart shape red or whatever color you desire. Set aside to dry. Once the paint is dry, glue the candy conversation hearts all over the heart frame. Set it aside to dry again. Once the glue is dry, tape the picture in the opening you cut in the center of the heart frame. Cut a small triangle out of the cardboard and attach behind the picture to make a stand, or you can even add a strip of magnet to the back.
Jello Card
Materials Required: construction paper, glue, jello, crayons or markers
Method: Fold a piece of construction paper in half to form a card. Write a message on the inside. On the outside, front cover of your card, draw hearts or other simple designs. Outline your heart or design with glue and then sprinkle the jello on the glue until the glue is covered. Set aside to dry. Once your glue is dry shake of the extra jello and you have a bright, sweet-smelling card.
Heart Art
Materials Required: Small piece of wood, acrylic paint and brushes, sandpaper, eight cut nails, hammer, flexible wire, ball chain, pencil, old magazines or newspaper, glue
Method: Brush paint on front and sides of wood and let it dry thoroughly. If desired, sand the painted surface to create an antique look. Draw a heart shape on the wood using a pencil. Then, hammer the nails halfway into the wood, spacing them evenly along the heart outline. Wrap and twist lengths of wire and ball chain around the nails. You can also embellish the design with a wire arrow. For a finishing touch, add a Valentine's message using letters cut from the magazines or newspaper.
