Next, the part where you sow the seeds. Make sure you sow seeds ½ inch or one inch below below the ground. For every foot, sow about 12 seeds. The plants must be watered well, especially in the month of spring. Here are some important facts you need to know about planting spinach in your garden.
a. The soil must be kept moist. Mulching needs to be done.
b. Thin the seedlings three to four inches apart.
c. Protect the roots. They can be damages easily. It is advisable you do not plant seedlings when weather conditions are extreme, especially when there is too much rain.
d. Spinach is capable of surviving cold temperatures, although sunlight is essential for the healthy growth of the plant.
