Container Gardening For Both Outdoor & Indoor Decor
Gardening can be a nice hobby for not just the individual house owners but can also be for the apartment residents. People who live in apartments can certainly develop their love for gardening through a small space gardening concept called container gardening. As we all know, all apartments will have balconies and container gardening can be a new mania to decorate the area. Attractive pots and containers of different designs and quality can be used to grow various varieties of plants.
Container gardening is not limited to apartment balconies alone, even huge gardens and indoors can have them. They give a natural and lively feeling to the indoors as well as the outdoors. Gardening in containers can give different kind of feel to the place and it is said that the status of a person is judged on the basis of his gardening skills. Container gardening is an addictive hobby where new things can be introduced each day.
Container Gardening For Outdoor Decor And Indoor Decor -
Outdoor Decor:
Portico: Potted plants are very decorative and fill the space. They can be arranged according to the needs and where they want to be placed. They can be decorated with bushy plants and tall plants or bonsai and the containers can be painted with different colors so that it gives a colorful feeling.
Balcony: Hanging containers can beautify the parapet walls. Be it terracotta or colorful plastic, floral shrubs contrast with the color of the apartment making it look colorful. Creepers are also a great idea as they absorb heat from the walls keeping the balcony cool and green.
Indoor Decor:
Veranda: As the space is even larger than the balcony, bigger plants like Agave, Amaranth and Colocasia can look decorative and fill spaces. As Verandas are the main entrance of the house, the greenery will make the place all the more welcoming to the house.
Passage: Shade garden plants are the best chioce for the passage area. They don't demand bright sunlight but can thrive well in shady places. Plants like oregano, fengshui bamboo, money plants can be good options. The containers here can be curvy and can have a rich look. Containers can be made of clay with brass coating which would make them look rich and the clay pot is good for plantation.
Living Room: This is the heart of the house as all the major activities happen in the room, the main place of attraction and every person judges the quality of the house keeping with the way the living room is designed. So containers for plants used there can be huge and highly decorative. Antique style garden containers give a rich look with more greenery.
Bed Room: This is a place of romance for every couple, they are private, which is why the rooms decorated to impress their spouse. Flowering plants which are fragrant and color bcan be prefered. The containers here can be small or medium sized according to the placement (like side tables, dressing tables etc) or even on windows.
