Making Scented Candles For Diwali

Making Scented Candles At Home (With Decoration Ideas):
1. Buy all the fashionable clay diyas available in the stores. Prefer bigger diyas as even one in the corner will make the space bright enough.
2. Choose the fragrant oil of choice like rose, sandal or lavender. You can buy some shimmer to make the candles wax sparkle.
3. Heat a metal pan or a boiler and add 10 grams of stearic acid for every 100 grams of wax. After the mixture melts completely, add paraffin wax with a few drops of the fragrant oil and shimmer.
4. Pour a teaspoon of the melted wax into the selected diya. Poke a metallic string in the centre and allow it to set.
5. Once the wax on the base is dry, fill the lamp with wax till full. Now carefully remove the metal string and replace the wick. Trim the end before you light the scented candle.
6. Decorate the scented candle diyas using sparklers or stick some sequines or crystals to make them look more grand (You can ask kids to do these diwali decorations). These decoration ideas save money as well as help your kids learn some craft.
May the bright light and the fragrance fill happiness and prosperity in your life. Wishing you and your family a very happy diwali!
