Feng means wind and Shui means water. In the Chinese culture, wind and water are associated with good health and fortune. Therefore, decorating your house according to Feng Shui brings good health and prosperity.

Here are some Feng Shui tips for your bedroom:

1) According to Feng Shui, bedroom is a space where the soul regenerates. Therefore it is considered to be the most sacred room. A perfect balance of yin (good) and yang (bad) is necessary.

2) Keeping your bed in line with your door can drain out all your energy. This will make you feel tensed and stressful and can also create health problems.

3) Do not keep a mirror facing your bed. If you have no option but to keep a mirror in front of your bed, cover it with a cloth before sleeping.

4) You should never keep you working desk or computer in your bedroom. The energy behind work and rest are opposite to each other and thus incompatible to each other. If you have no option but to keep your laptop or computer in the bedroom, separate the two with a Feng Shui element. Feng Shui elements are items that have a strong power to balance power.

5) A good Feng Shui bedroom also allows the harmonious flow of sensual energy. This energy is destroyed by magnetic waves. Therefore it is important not to keep computers and television in your room.

6) To paint your bedroom walls, choose Feng Shui colours. As far as the bedroom is considered skin colours are called the Feng Shui colours. This can range from beige, white, cream and brown. Choose a skin colour that will best suit your home decor.

7) Do not leave your bedroom cluttered. Avoid storing things that is of no use. Such things store in bad energy. A clean room eases the flow of positive energy.
